All Masala Powder Recipes In Simple Steps

Below we have given the recipe for many Indian masala powders. With the method of making these masala powder, you can easily make all kitchen masala powder at your home.

1. Garam Masala Powder Recipe

  • Cinnamon: 10 grams, 9 to 10 pieces of one inch
  • Large cardamom: 25 grams, 2.5 tablespoons
  • Cloves: 10 grams, 1 tablespoon
  • Star anise: 1 piece
  • Black pepper: 25 grams, 2.5 tablespoons
  • Cumin: 20 grams, 2 tablespoons
  • Bay leaves: 4 piece
  • Nutmeg: 10 grams, 1 tablespoon
  • Mace: 10 grams, 1 tablespoon

> Roast all the spices except nutmeg and mace in a hot pan on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
> After roasting let them cool down.
> After all the spices cool down, grind all the spices along with nutmeg and mace to a fine paste in a mixer.
> Store this spice in an airtight container.
> This garam masala powder can be used for 5 to 6 months.

2. Chicken Masala Powder Recipe

  • Red chili: 10-12 piece
  • Cumin: 2 teaspoon
  • Cloves: 10 piece
  • Cinnamon: 2 large pieces
  • Whole coriander: 4 tablespoons
  • Bay leaves: 5 piece
  • Nutmeg: 1 tablespoon
  • Mace: 1 tablespoon
  • Green cardamom: 7-8 piece
  • Large cardamom: 2 pieces
  • Black pepper: 1 teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds: 2 teaspoon

> First of all, roast the red chilies till it changes color and takes it off.
> Then roast the remaining spices till a good smell comes and let them cool down.
>After all the spices cool down, add some salt and grind all the spices and then store them in an airtight container.

3. Chana/Chole Masala Powder Recipe

  • Large cardamom powder: 2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder: 2 teaspoon
  • Clove Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon: 3-4 small pieces
  • Red chili: 7-9 pieces
  • Black salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Pomegranate seeds: 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander: 3 tablespoon
  • Cumin: 1 tablespoon

> Put pomegranate seeds, coriander, and cumin in a hot pan and roast it on low flame till it becomes light brown.
> Let these roasted spices cool down,
> Then mix all the rest of the spices together and grind them finely.
> Store the ground masala in an airtight container, this chole masala can be used for up to 6 months.

4. Sambar Masala Powder Recipe

  • Coriander seeds: 1 tbsp
  • Cumin: 1 tbsp
  • Urad Dal: 1 tbsp
  • Chana dal: 1 tbsp
  • Dry Coconut: 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds: 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds: 1 small tsp
  • Red chili: 4 pieces
  • Black pepper: 1 small tsp
  • Curry leaves: 20 pieces
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 small tsp
  • Asafoetida: 1/2 small tsp

> Roast all the spices except turmeric powder and asafoetida on a hot pan till they turn light brown.
> After roasting lightly brown, let the spices cool down,
> After the spices cool down, add turmeric powder and asafoetida and grind them well.
> And after a while store it by filling it in an air-tight container.

5. Pav Bhaji Masala Powder Recipe

  • Large cardamom: 8-9 pieces
  • Cinnamon: 4 to 5 pieces
  • Black pepper: 1 small tsp
  • Clove: 1 small tsp
  • Ginger Powder: 1 tbsp
  • Amchur Powder: 1 tbsp
  • Black Salt: 1 tbsp
  • Pomegranate seeds: 1 tbsp
  • Nutmeg: 5 grams
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 tbsp
  • Carom seeds: 1 small tsp
  • Whole Coriander: 8 tbsp
  • Jeera: 2 tbsp
  • Fennel: 2 tbsp
  • Red chili: 15-20 pieces

> Put whole coriander, cumin, fennel, red chili, big cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, clove, pomegranate seeds, and carom seeds on a hot pan and roast lightly on low flame for 1-2 minutes.
> Then take it out on a separate plate and let the spices cool down.
> After the roasted spices cool down, mix them with the rest of the spices and grind them well and store it in an air-tight container.

6. Chaat Masala Powder Recipe

  • Whole coriander: 100 grams
  • Cumin: 100 grams
  • Asafoetida: 1 small tsp
  • Black pepper: 50 grams
  • Red Chili: 10 grams
  • Amchur Powder: 15 grams
  • Plain salt: 150 grams
  • Black salt 150 grams

> Roast asafoetida and cumin on a hot pan till they turn light brown and let it cool down.
> After the asafoetida and cumin have cooled, add the remaining spices and grind them together.
> Then separately grind both the salt together,
> And then mix all the spices with ground salt and grind them once.
> In this way your Chaat Masala Powder is ready.

7. Tea Masala Powder Recipe

  • Cardamom: 35-40 pieces
  • Black pepper: 20-25 pieces
  • Cloves: 12-15 pieces
  • Cinnamon: 4 to 5 small pieces
  • Nutmeg Powder: 1 small tsp
  • Dried Ginger: 1 tbsp

> Grind all the spices together and store them in an air-tight container.
> For 4 cups of tea, use one and a half to two teaspoons of spices.

8. Sabji Masala Powder Recipe

  • Dry Red Chillies: 8-9 pieces
  • Turmeric Powder: One teaspoon
  • Coriander: 25 grams
  • Green cardamom: 4 pieces
  • Fennel: 1 teaspoon
  • Large Cardamom: 3 Pieces
  • Nutmeg: a small piece
  • Mace: 2 small pieces
  • Cinnamon: Small piece
  • Cumin: 2 teaspoons
  • Cloves: 5 to 6
  • Black pepper: Half teaspoon

> Fry all the spices except dry red chilies and turmeric powder on a hot pan till they turn light brown.
> Let these roasted spices cool down,
> Then mix all the spices together with dry red chilies and turmeric powder and grind them finely.
> And then keep the ground spices in an air-tight container.
